The Associated Press reports Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt returned from a secret fishing trip in Alaska with Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney.
Blunt traveled to Iraq with Romney in May. Romney also appeared at a fundraiser for the governor's father, Rep. Roy Blunt, in July. They also hung out together in Texas during a Republican Governors Association gathering in February.
Romney is not seeking re-election this year. Instead, he appears to be laying the groundwork for a run at the White House in 2008.
