Both U.S. Senate campaigns are pushing for dough as the June 30th quarterly fundraising deadline approaches.
Senator Talent sent a video message to supporters, pleading for a strong 2nd quarter filing, "to show Democrats we can compete with their out of state millions." In the e-mail blast, Talent also made the point that while Claire McCaskill is reaching out to her liberal base, the junior senator is working for, common sense conservative values.
No video of Claire. Just a message from campaign manager Richard Martin that the President is visiting Missouri next week to raise $1 million bucks for Talent at the Ritz. Martin stresses that Missouri needs an independent Senator able to stand up to those oh-so-horrible special interests.
But Martin sets a specific target . . . to raise $25,000 in 10 days.
