48% Approve of Talent

48% of Missourians approve of Sen. Jim Talent, according to the new monthly SurveyUSA tracking poll. That's up from 43% in May.

Of the Big 3, Talent has the best numbers in Missouri. President Bush is at 36%, Governor Blunt is at 42%. But the good news for Republicans is that they are all on an upswing. June has certainly been good for the G.O.P.

Here in the Ozarks, Talent's approval is at 47%. He is actually stronger in Central Missouri (52%) and St. Louis (49%) than in the land of his conservative base.

The senior senator from Mizzou, Kit Bond checks in with a 52% approval rating. Bond is strongest in the Ozarks at 55%.
