Koster Video: "I Used to be a Republican, Until They Lost Their Damn Minds"

State Senator and potential Attorney General candidate Chris Koster (D-Harrisonville) was the only statewide candidate to speak at the Labor Day picnic in Springfield today.

HERE is VIDEO of a five-minute excerpt of his speech.
"As many of you know, I come here not just as a Democrat, I come here also as a recovering Republican," Koster told the crowd of union workers and Democratic politicos.

Koster touted his support for labor unions over the year and declared that "the extreme right has turned its back on the middle class."

To close his speech, Koster quoted former NBA star Charles Barkley, who left the G.O.P. in 2006: "Yeah, I used to be a Republican, until they lost their damn minds."

Koster could have quoted a bevy of political minds down through the ages: Plato, Kant, Locke, Jefferson, Paine, Lincoln...
instead, he chooses the "Round Mound of Rebound" Charles Barkley.

Sometimes addition can occur through subtraction. This is what occured to the Republican Party when Chris Koster left.
