Bush at 36% in Missouri

New approval ratings are out for President Bush in Missouri . . .

Bush sits at 36%, according to the new monthly SurveyUSA tracking poll. That may sound bad, but the Prez is actually up 7 points from last month.

The poll was taken from June 9th to June 11th, notably after U.S. troops killed terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Pundits have been pontificating about what kind of bump Bush would get from Zarqawi's death.

Here in the Ozarks, Bush's approval rating is 47%, considerably higher than any other region. Yet still, a majority 52% disapprove of the President's performance in southwest Missouri.

Duh.

SUSA is a known left wing poll who over samples the St. Louis and Kanasas City areas.

Check out their own statistics and how they weigh their information.

As they say, figures dont lie, but liars figure.

Bobbicus you got it all wrong. SUSA underestimates the opinions of middle and lower income voters due to its methodology. As a result urban votrs tend to be under represented.

I have never known anyone (till now) who claimed it to be left wing. Must be like right's response to the media ---if we don't like it or it does'nt make us look good then we will simply claim it is biased.

Bobbicus is just living in denial. Even the extremely conservative Fox News polls have had Bush under 40% for many months now. In fact, they often show some of the lowest poll numbers.

Bush supporters are just trying to make up excuses to pretend they are still in the majority.
